I have then tried to erase all disks and I get yet another error message: “Erase process has failed. Under details it says the same for both errors: To repair the startup volume, run First Aid from recovery. Then I tried recovery on the “AppleAPFSMedia” and get the following error: “First Aid found corruption that needs to be repaired. <- I get this on all 6 volumes including “Macintosh HD” “Macintosh HD - Data” “Preboot” “Recovery” “Update” and “VM” If possible back up the data on this volume. The following error “”first aid process has failed. Going into disk utility and running first aid on all volumes. I got a failed error message and have tried maybe ten times since and cannot get anything to work. I bought a used 2016 MacBook from a guy yesterday and he restored it to factory settings and was installing Sierra when he messaged and asked if I just wanted to finish the process at home so I said yes.
